Austin By Austin: a showcase of local talent in local businesses during SXSW; engaging three local business districts; hundreds of local artists; garnered local tv, radio and print coverage; and offered a locally-owned free shuttle from downtown to Austin’s iconic local shopping districts. I secured a community initiatives grant from the City of Austin and offered matching grants to businesses to pay local artists. *I am a rare event planner and promoter who paid musicians during SXSW.

Results from my leadership as executive director included a merger with a competing organization, first sponsorships for a printed directory, first profitable directories, largest membership growth in the organization’s history, and the most press coverage in the organization’s history.
